Code of Professional Conduct
The World Writer's Assembly has established a strict code of standards and ethics to examine issues such as plagiarism, writing, and business practices. The ethics committee will examine and review any complaints or issues that are against any registered member of the writer's association.
The primary goal of the Writer's Ethics Committee is to review and enforce standards and policies described in our ethics requirements. Our professional practices and code ensure that our members abide by the highest standards in the writing industry. The Ethics Committee will review, investigate, and decide what action should be taken to resolve any issues that may affect the ethical standards required by your membership. The Ethics Committee has the sole authority to revoke certifications or membership if a member has violated the agreed terms and conditions.
1. Committee Members
The Ethical Writer's Committee is made up of experienced senior members of the Writer's Assembly. These members have been found competent and qualified to resolve issues that relate to problems and concerns of customers, writers, and other members.
2. Conflict of Interest
Any member of the committee who has accusations brought against them of violating the terms and conditions will immediately be removed from the Ethics Committee until the issue is resolved.
3. Committee Ruling
When there is a proven violation of the ethical code: the committee can deem a judgment of probation, suspension, or termination of membership.
4. Membership Rights and Defense
Once an official complaint of an ethical violation is recorded against a member, that member will be notified immediately on the accusations. The member must then submit a written response regarding the charge to the Ethics Committee. The member is also urged to include any items that my help in their defense.
5. Committee Review
Within 7 days of receiving a written explanation by the accused member, the Committee shall review the claim and defense. The member will be notified immediately of outcome of the Committee vote.
6. Refunded Fees or Dues
As per the agreement of the membership any persons found guilty of such violations will not be eligible for any portion of a refund, reimbursements, etc of their membership costs.
