Frequently Asked Questions
How do I apply to become a certified writer?
Well to qualify as a writer you simply fill out the application. We do prefer that applicants have obtained their higher education degree, but it is not a necessity. We welcome aspiring writers who may be undergraduates or dedicated and talented writers who want to obtain a membership with our association.
Why do I have to submit a writing sample?
The real value of being a certified writer is the fact that not everyone who applies will be accepted. By setting a standard of legitimate quality it adds real value to your certification and writing abilities. A true sample of your writing will give our acceptance board the tools that we need to judge your works and creativity. It can be a published or unpublished sample of your work that you feel best expresses your writing talents and skills.
Will my certification get me a writing job?
We provide you with the support, and learning opportunities to advance your writing skills. It is your talent, dedication and writing ability that will get you that writing job you have always wanted. We only provide you the vehicle and guide you in the right direction
English is not my first language?
Many people from countries all around the world speak, read, and write in English. In fact some of our most talented members and accredited writers do not speak English as their first language. If you have good grammar and can write excellent works, then you are absolutely welcome to apply for your certification status.
Are there any hidden fees?
There are no additional fees for your annual certification. It is a simple one time fee that can be made through many different payment options. The cost of every class or course will be clearly listed and many are free of charge. If you have any questions or need support at any time we will be happy to assist you.
