Product is of a quality that works very easily. All you need to do is measure up your flue size and you’re halfway there. Product stores away neatly also as a bonus. You could spend the time and effort collating all the items from the hardware store to make up something which is similar but ends up costing more $$ wise. Shipping, too easy. Now a task I can do on a dry day and be prepared for next winter rather than being caught out in the middle of winter.

I have had the flue cleaning kit since early winter. After we installed our Burning Log open fire, we had two chimney fires that were very frightening. Called the fire brigade once but kept them at bay, so they would not damage the house and contents. We then began using a brush with rope attached top and bottom. We would get a very long ladder, aimed towards a dormer on the second storey. I would pull up, my wife would pull down. Getting up and down and the possibility of falling made us search for a safer way. The BusyBee kit is ideal. Fit one wire rod onto the head, manoeuvre past the baffle then just add rods until you reach the top. Coming down, just remove rods as you go. As I undid each rod, I would give it a push up and pull down. I am 77 and the BusyBee is very safe compared to our previous method. Disassembles for easy storage. Highly recommend.
