How to Clean Chem-Set Holes with a Tube Brush

1. Blow Out Loose Debris – Use compressed air or a hand pump to remove dust and loose particles from the drilled hole. Insert the nozzle fully and blow air out while withdrawing.
2. Brush the Hole – Insert the tube brush to the full depth of the hole, then rotate and move it in and out several times to loosen dust.
3. Blow Again – Use compressed air or a hand pump again to remove the loosened debris.
4. Repeat the Process – For best results, follow the blow-brush-blow method at least three times to ensure the hole is completely clean.
5. Final Inspection – Visually check that the hole is free from dust before applying ChemSet adhesive.

This process ensures a strong, reliable bond, reducing the risk of failure in your anchoring application.

Why Brass Wire?

Brass wire is softer than steel or stainless steel wire and are great for applications where you do not want to scratch other surfaces.  They are resistant to rust and corrosion. Our Tube Brush in this range is made with crimped Brass wire twisted into galvanised steel twisted wire.  The thickness of the crimped brass wire filament is increased incrementally from small to larger diameters to provide a stiffer bristle brush suitable for  a wide range of applications. These brushes are for manual use.

Heavy duty round brush for larger applications such as cleaning larger Stainless Steel or Brass pipes and larger tubes. When a regular Tube Brush won’t do.

These custom brushes are manufactured in Australia with Australian made materials.

Barrel Brushes are constructed with a strong Kiln-dried hardwood core.  The inside bore is fitted with a 1/2 inch BSW Coach Bolt and Nut. So you can use your Barrel Brush with our UA1 Universal Adaptor and Timber Handle.
